The consequence of you throwing out your opinion is nothing.
The consequences to the actual decisions are large. As already stated, the costs are asymmetric. I didn't say that there was no cost to an aggressive approach.
Due to our inept leadership, the ability to test and get data also hindered the decision making process. I'm sure that we both agree that we wish that there was better data and more certainty ex ante.
