For one, we're actually back in the 40 front, so any comparison to last year would be 100% meaningless. With that out of the way, we just have to see how the real DEs do in it.
Moving guys helped at the time out of need, but I'm not sure we can say that quite yet this year. Pilimai, Tofa, Batty, maybe even Fevaleaki. There are guys at the position. There's not a desperate need at the moment to move someone out of position.
Moving those guys also took away fron their development at their NFL position. I really don't want to have to move a sophomore who has very high potential where he is and had virtually no pro potential at DE.
It's not an awful idea. But it's not preferable and I'd rather see who we've got first.
