BYU could easily get high enough for an at large if they go undefeated. They are starting where NIU ended. The matchup and conversation would be highly intriguing and advantageous to the bowl games just like UCF v Auburn was. There was a 50/50 split of people that wanted UCF to be proven wrong and people that wanted the SEC to shut up the little guys. In the end, the peach bowl was the real winner. So was the fiesta bowl the year after. I know those are still autobids but those games have shown that outsiders breaking in are money makers for everyone involved.
