Also, with the increased 10-game SEC schedule, the SEC schools are going to beat
up each other. Among the 8 ranked SEC teams, there are 20 games in common...which means that those 8 ranked teams will have to somehow share 20 losses (and LSU already has a loss)...not including the SEC championship game.

So, that's an AVERAGE of 2.5 losses for those 8 ranked teams. The most likely scenario is that you have 4 or 5 of those 8 ranked teams with THREE or more losses and 3 or 4 of those ranked teams with FOUR or more losses.

I think undefeated BYU jumps ahead of most 3-loss SEC teams..

Also, the four ranked ACC teams each have two games in common, so they will share at least FOUR losses. Most likely at least one has TWO or more losses and BYU jumps over whoever that team is.

Texas, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State will all play each other and two of those teams likely meet in the Big 12 CCG. And, Oklahoma already has one loss. BYU likely jumps ahead of any 2-loss Big 12 schools.

Cincinnati plays both UCF and Memphis and someone will lose the AAC championship game, which will matchup the top 2 this year. So, undefeated BYU likely stays or jumps ahead of 2 of the AAC schools.

So, undefeated BYU is likely to rise at least 8 or 9 spots in the rankings, without accounting for the possibility of Oregon losing a couple of games and the rest of the PAC beating up each other in a shortened season, Penn State or Wisconsin having a couple of losses, and major upsets from unranked schools with multiple losses knocking off a top 10-20 team.

That gets BYU into the #13-14 range and definitely within striking distance of the NY6...depending on what happens in the P5 conference races.
