Given the mission of the Church, Mark can be one heck of an ambassador for the gospel at a big time school. I am sure the good Andy Reid has done for the Church in KC and PA is far more than what is public. The same goes for Ainge and others. This fact is infinitely more important.

I would be very excited to learn BYU is willing to pay what it should cost to keep him. Frankly, I think he and his wife would be as excited as anyone to stay. Nobody would expect them to stay for substantially less money though.

I am not sure if Holmoe/BYU Pres have some top end figure in their head. I am certain however the small group that raises the money to pay the coaches can meet pretty much any dollar amount.
