A recent article mentioned that he chose to play for UW over bluebloods because
he wanted to be a part of building a program. Like a Mark Few, it seems like it’s in his nature to be a builder rather than the next cog in a machine.
Granted, he became upset and transferred to UK when UW fired its coach - so maybe he became jaded about the builder idea.
I choose to believe the former.
