... due to unequal seasons around the nation. Especially the PAC-12 had very abbreviated seasons and didn’t get the in-game reps that teams who played 10+ games did. COVID shutdowns of many programs limited practice time and reps. Many teams opted out of bowls and shortened their seasons and practices. A returning “super-senior” is likely returning because they didn’t play a full/regular season and don’t have the normal reps and experience that should normally go along with that.
And BYU blew out so many teams that the backups got a lot more PT than they normally would’ve.
We aren’t super experienced at some key positions, but I don’t think we’re anywhere near to being the least experienced team in the nation.
