I don't think it'll change too much. After a couple seasons, fewer players will hit the portal.
Some with scholarships are jumping with no landing spot. And with the 4-year schollie guarantee for P5 schools in place, those kids would be dumb to hit the portal. Seeing many get left with nothing will make is less of a free for all.
For kids kicked out for other reasons or not on scholarship, nothing to lose.
