is too quiet (totally unresponsive for long periods of time with a reason), then it becomes troublesome. And rather than stressing about productivity, we only tackle lack of responsiveness to a degree that makes sense. As in, we don’t randomly chat people to see if they are there - we have legitimate things to tackle, and there’s no response for hours.
I agree with others saying that the best determination is about getting the work done. Existing metrics should do that.
