Yes. Revenue pays for better facilities, coaches, and staff. Sub optimal
coaching hires happen. If you've got money, you'll eventually be able to hire someone good and everything will be right again.
Think of it this way. Someone wants to make an even bet with you today about the outcome of games between Texas and TCU in 1, 5, 10, and 15 years. The smart money might choose TCU the 1 year game, but it would be foolish to bet on TCU for the future games.
Texas is still a respectable team despite their recent poor coaching hires. Their revenue is helping them through a rough patch. TCU and Boise State are always on the brink of becoming a dumpster fire. They might never recover from a bad coaching hire.
