In the BIG 12 not so much. I don't know if any school in the BIG 12 is on the quarter system.

The schools on the quarter system have September games with virtually no students.

I liked the the setup. Spring/summer classes were my favorite, but also enjoyed

Most universities use the semester system. Most teaching materials are likewise designed around the semester.
