playing the 5 in positionless basketball running a 5 out offense isn't...
...the same as the 5 position in a traditional lineup with a traditional post player.

In this role Lohner won't be just a screen setter on the perimeter where the opposing center can sag off and protect the paint because he knows the guy he's supposed to guard has no outside shot or ball skills. Opposing teams will have to put someone in the game that can keep up with Lohner out on the perimeter. Go back and watch the Gonzaga game in Provo in 2019 and see the problems the Zags had when they had Petrusev (WCC POY) on the floor at the 5 while we had bigs like Childs and Seljaas at the 5 playing on the perimeter.

He managed to have a modest scoring game but was one of their least efficient players offensively and defensively and finished with their lowest box plus/minus (it was a negative number). He only played 22 mins because Few realized the liability he was. Contrast his inefficient numbers with the crazy efficiency numbers of Yoeli, Kolby and Zac.
