Funny thing is it wasn't anything to do with BYU really...
...at least not the school, just fans that booed him. The school didn't boo him or ask the fans to boo him.

It's really small and petty of him to harbor ill feelings towards BYU the school for something they didn't do. I played high school basketball for a legendary high school coach in Alaska who eventually won over 1000 games, 20 or so state championships etc. He was a hard-core guy who was very loud and made a lot of enemies with his personality and our constant full and half court pressure D. We got booed everywhere we played. My junior year the state tournament was here in Anchorage (my hometown) and we played a team from another town yet we got booed and the out of town team was cheered.

Oh well. We used it for motivation and won state despite the booing. In situations like that we can chose to be victims or victors. It's always better to choose to be victors.
