students. Each student has, at least, two parents. All 400 of them at any given moment can be their "boss." They make demands of these teachers all the time. You should see some of the vitriol that is spewed in emails. Yet, we as educators, just bend over and take our beating. Add in the step-parents. Add in the emotions of each student. Add in what the flavor of the day is in politics and it can make teaching unbearable. No class can teach a future teacher what he or she will expect.

Now, that being said, the best teachers just do all of the above with a smile on their face and make a difference one student at a time.
