So by your thinking, not even close means a 5.4 40 time is similar to a 4.4 40 time? After all, everyone eventually gets where they are going. Who cares how fast they got there?
I don’t know what Brooks runs exactly but he’s not where Allgeier was last year. And yes, not even close applies in this situation.
Can he be fast enough? Sure. We aren’t talking hand grenades where close enough can count. An extra tenth or 2 tenths of a second is enough to break away.
