I think you make a case as to why he has a legit shot, anyway. AND as to why he prob wants to stay put.

Feel he's more solid than some that height so we think he looks shorter but seems legit 6'4".

I've been a big defender of Hall's play. He directs the offense very well & has better size & strength than many PGs

Only if he stays does he have a chance

I’m laughing he won’t legitimately play in the NBA.

“It” factor in Utah high school basketball ≠ NBA

Why do so many people think Hall can't defend?
ochobeeguy
Apr 18, 10:05am
Because he is a physical defender and doesn’t get steals with quickness. Steals

Yep, Harden was top 5 one year in steals…
ochobeeguy
Apr 18, 10:15am
Because he’s not super fast laterally

BYU hasn’t put a player in the NBA that stuck since Bradley. Dallin Hall isn’t

Jimmer played 241 games, I would count that personally

If you're not on draft radar going into your Junior year it's very unlikely.

"He will eventually figure out how to defend and make FTs."

I think he was saying that he will eventually figure that out while in college

He is not “crafty enough” offensively. His finish% at the rim is terrible. He

Excellent college player. Will never play in the NBA

Here are the things that make that unlikely: Size, quickness, and shooting.

Also Age. I forgot to add that one.

I agree he could. Being a 22 yo sophomore hurts.

He would need to majorly improve his shooting.

Just for comparison Dellavedova shot 42/38/86 for his career

Their ball handling skills aren’t even in the same vacinity.

NBA G League maybe. Needs to make a *BIG* jump before we start talking NBA.

All the naysayers, My player comp for him who I could see him become…Dellavedova

Seems like the best Comp to me. Obviously Delly was better than Hall is right
jreid191
Apr 18, 10:41am
Yes but not by much. Soph Delly was 13.4/5.3, Hall was 9/5.1. Delly fg% was not

Unless you are including G-League as NBA, not a chance .Not on any draft boards,

I think Hall is a great player. He needs to improve his handle and free throws.

Handle and free throws are the major weaknesses. If he improves those he could

He reminds me of a Matthew Dellavedova type player.

TBD on NBA, but he could be a terrific college player if he continues his trend.

You have to shoot free throws as an NBA guard

Could Hall guard or score against Curry, Gilgeous-Alexander, Haliburton, Brunson
sandiegocgrfan

Why couldn’t he guard them?

Because I am not sure he can consistently guard college guards, much less
