I've been a big defender of Hall's play. He directs the offense very well & has better size & strength than many PGs
No idea if that will lead to the NBA. Potential might be there but there's work to do. Hate to believe rumors but they've been hard to take for the off court stuff. Never like to think players might put themselves above what's best for the team or think they deserve special treatment. None of that, even if true, discounts his value as your starting, very good PG.
Absolutely BYU wants him back & believe fans (even us grumpy CB ones) would be very forgiving & cheer loudly if he returned.
