In general with club, when mom/dad lists all the cool places they’ve traveled to
For league games/tournaments than its sign #1 that’s its a money grab club (which quite honestly they basically all are) .
It’s like in baseball.. a 12 year old travels all-around the country for 4 at-bats a game when the kid can’t field a routine ground ball. I’ll take the kid that stays home and take 2000 cuts in the cage and a 1000 ground balls a day and uses that money on facility access or personal training.
I remember my wife posting on SM about how cool it was that one year for club soccer our 11 and 12 years olds went to Dallas, DC, STL, Portland x3, Seattle x3, Phoenix, Vegas, San Diego and Orlando..
It didn’t hit me at the time how stupid that was. A lot of cool free trips for the coaches to go chill and drink together with though.
