The Portland State game kind of blows the comparison out of the water. First game of the year, terrible opponent, at home and he totally stinks it up with an 18.0 adjusted QBR. This was a far worse rating than anything his freshman or sophomore year.
Now, let's go back and look at how he performed against tough teams his freshman year:
- Nebraska - 94.1
- Boise St. - 70.7
- UCLA - 60.4
- Michigan - 28.5 (would be his second best game this year)
- Missouri - 68.0
- Utah - 38.1
Only 1/3 of the time was he below average against good competition, and 2/3 of the time he was well above average against good competition. Even the bad games are much better than his average this year. The way he is playing now is terrible.
Go Cougs!!!!!!!!
