The weird thing is the last QBto really develop (as in improve year to year) was
John Beck. Max Halls best year (arguably) was his sophomore season, his next 2 years he played about the same or slightly worse, still great seasons he just never took any big steps fwd and still struggled against good Ds.
Heaps best year was his Freshman season. Taysoms best year was his probably Sophomore year, hard to say say with all the injuries.
Mangums best year so far was his freshman year by far.
Now Critchlow, it wouldn't surprise me at all if he had a great rest of the season and expectations were high for next year, only to have him regress and disappoint and have fans turn on him.

I don't have an explanation for it, especially since it's been with two entirely different coaching staffs. But it is a really weird/disappointing pattern. I do think however, the current staff would be much better with a QB coach .
