If you look at S&P+ rankings, they are ranked #10 even with a weak SOS (compared to #15 for Utah). And S&P resume rankings (which is Bill Connelly's way if ranking performance vs. schedule) has them all the way at #7 basically saying a top-5 tram wouldn't do much better than them given the same schedule. MOV is taken into consideration here - if they were eeking out wins they wouldn't be ranked nearly as high. He actually has undefeated Notre Dame ranked lower (#14) here even though they have a stronger SOS and are undefeated simply because they aren't winning convincingly.
