If I remember correctly he has offers from SUU and ISU...
And some other Big Sky schools.

He’s a really good player and imo deserves bigger offers but my feelings on these things are that you should go to a place that really wants you rather than just the biggest name school. And that is doubly so when those schools like you enough to pay you to play for them. A school that isn’t willing to pay for a players education isn’t as committed to them as a school willing to pay for their education.

I know we’ve all heard the stories about the walk-on that plays their way into a scholarship but in truth that is really rare, really rare. And when these schools offer these kids these PWO’s they play that angle up.

There are of course some real advantages to PWO’s. For instance unlike a regular walk-on a PWO is guaranteed a spot on the team and admission to school. That is a real benefit when it is BYU since we all know how hard it is to get into BYU. All a PWO has to do is fulfill the admission standards for athletes, admittedly much lower than for regular students. But unless a kid really doesn’t have any decent scholarship offers I don’t know why they’d take a PWO.
