but that was short lived. He's changed significantly since his immature days at BYU, and I'm happy for him.
I too would be mad if I heard Ute fans mocking my religion, but in my experience that doesn't happen nearly as often as people say it does (much like self righteous BYU fans aren't as common as Ute fans claim they are). When BYU fans go into a game expecting to find mormon haters, they are going to find them. When Ute fans go to games expecting to be hastily judged, they will come away feeling that. I've been to 20+ Ute games over the years and have never heard anyone mocking the church in a way that I didn't perceive as lighthearted. I know it exists, but not as much as people seem to think. That may have something to do with my own temperament though. I stay as far away from confrontation as I possibly can. I don't talk crap, and I don't scream at refs or players or any of that nonsense. I just watch the game and cheer when good things happen... so maybe that's part of why I don't see it, because I don't get into confrontations. I don't provoke such remarks.
I'm sure it happens, but I've never personally seen it.
