For sure. I could list some reasons I think are legitimate, but the purpose of
the post was to show that there are still younger people becoming BYU fans and they need the veteran fans to set the example of loyalty and persistence. The fans are an entity, and I would say the state of the fans is on the same level as the football performance. I look at Wisconsin and even though they had a "down" year, every game was sold out and people cheered for the team through the last game of the year. I'd just like to see a little more endurance. No shortage of reasons to be disappointed, I know, but at the end of the day, we love BYU football and the players need our support. They need to feel they have someone (the fans) to fight for even when recent W-L records aren't particularly impressive. The alternative of giving up on the team just seems a bit pathetic to me. That's the epitome of "fair weather," right?
