What I mean by this, is that a person who is otherwise on a path of literally dying, both extends their life and opens
opportunities to further change and improvement by substituting one much-less-immediately-deadly behavior for another much-more-immedialtely-deadly behavior.
Again, this is literally an area of professional expertise, university study, continuing education, and professional licensure/certification for me. I'm not making this up or just supposing.
What we DO know (maybe you don't, but I do because I know some of the people closest to him) is that Max is super into working out and it has, by all accounts, helped him make very beneficial changes in his overall life and health.
What we DON'T know, but you assume, is that he is also on roids. But even if he was, while certainly not ideal, they would be much preferable to heroine. And easier to stop using.
