Geez. Lol...I was only a wee toddler when this game was played but my dad
Would often talk about it and said it was the most frustrating game by far that he’d ever seen.
I could only imagine.
I DID listen to the BYU UTEP game in 1997 (I was in middle school) broadcast on 1160 AM (it was awesome for us die hards that we could get reception in Portland over 1000 miles away) and it felt very similar. That loss basically ruined our season and knocked us out of bowl game consideration.
