I totally agree that BYU currently isn't in a great position to be running our mouths off about being in a big time conference.
But college football goes back a lot longer than 4 years. When you look at conference championships, and decades of setting NCAA football records, and All-American players, and sending guys to the NFL, and having a large fanbase with a large stadium and a large TV following, and winning a national championship and a Heisman Trophy during the modern era of college football, and having wins over some really big time football programs, etc. and so forth....
*NOBODY* - not even Utah fans - can deny that BYU is a P-5 level program. Under-achieving for 4 years doesn't change that.
Army and Liberty, on the other hand, simply are not P-5 level programs. That's why Kalani can say what he said, and those guys cannot.
