The better marker right now is total deaths per day from COVID. The percent
of deaths relative to infections probably won't ever be a truly accurate or reliable statistic. Certainly not any time in the near future.

Once again, we cannot know the death rate without the infected rate, which is not available because of limited testing

We will end up well below 1% imo

Plus there remains some question as to the accuracy (sensitivity) of the test.

Yup. My MIL has all the symptoms, but they won't test her

True, but most sick people haven’t had time to die yet. In most countries so far

This is a meaningless statistic at this point. It’s probably not worth worrying about until we have much better testing

I’m actually surprised the percentage is this good considering the testing

That's just pure fear mongering right now. The real rate is much much lower

You don't know either.

We can say with certainty that the real death rate is indeed much lower

Lol. No you can't. No knows yet. You can hope. But you don't know.

Follow the logic. You can do it.

I'll take it slowly so you can understand what a death rate is. A death rate of

This is oddly personal for you. The death rate is the death rate. This is like

Maybe you should take things slowly for yourself. You need the extra time to think this through apparently.

Dude. You're wrong. People are saying that the REAL death rate is much lower than the current statistics bear out.

I know, with every fiber of my being, that the mortality rate for this disease is much lower than the official tally
