The rate of increase appears to be slowing a bit (from the same start date it was 43% day over day average on Monday). But we are right at the 400-500 per day threshold I thought we might be at on Monday.

The rate of increase needs to change drastically this coming week.
Even if it is only half (about 20% increase day over day) what it has been so far, 1400+ will die next Friday. If it is what it currently is we will be into daily death numbers so big that my brain doesn't actually believe they are possible right now-- 4,000 plus dead next Friday.
I doubt it comes to that, but I would actually be more surprised than not if we didn't lose 1000+ next Friday. I wouldn't be shocked to see us lose 2-3000, although I hesitate to believe it's actually possible.
