If you think that’s bad then don’t take the 80 thru Nebraska.
I don’t know why it’s so much worse but it is. Kansas is still green with some rolling landscape. Nebraska OTOH is just worse... so much worse. Tons of cows and nasty smelling towns.

Highway 191 from Rock Springs to about Pinedale. Closer to rock springs the worst.
