The hotter the better generally, but on a grill that has no heat from the top of it gets too hot you may burn the bottom
before the top gets finished. When we did it in our grill we would heat the stone to 550 or so and that worked well.

Our favorite pizza purchase has been a Roccbox pizza oven so we don’t use our grill anymore.

We’ve found using a big spatula and semolina flour on the peel helps get it off easily.
