amazing, I felt pretty somber because I was sick for Taysom afterwards. Then a few weeks later I heard him speak at the fireside the night before the Michigan game, and I came away so impressed by his maturity and perspective. I had always been a fan, but I have rooted for him not only as a BYU athlete, but as a person ever since.
When he came back and played in 2016 I was giddy for him, but sad that it looked like he had lost a step. It's been really exciting to see how he regained his explosiveness, first as that season went on, and now especially in the NFL.
I simply don't watch NFL games. I don't have nearly enough time and I've always thought the college game was "purer" because they're not playing for money (although I'm losing faith in that the last few years). But I do keep tabs on the Saints just because I want to know how Taysom's doing. I'm happy to hear when other BYU alumni do well, but I'll always cheer for him. He's definitely one of the good guys.
