Not if we get an agreement with a G5 Conference. (See Below)
Conferences have had wide latitude, and the Big East had their BCS representative be the highest ranked team. Solution is to have a bowl agreement with a conference (Sunbelt likely being the best candidate) where the highest ranked "conference member" is the one that is put forward for the autobid consideration.

The rule is "highest ranked G5 champion". We can't be a champion of a G5 conference because we aren't in a G5 conference

Because all of the conferences voted. BYU didn’t have a vote then and we won’t now unless we join a conference.
