It uses T-Mobile's towers, so depends on your situation. Been great for us, we
pay a year at a time to get the best price.
We're in Gilbert Az. Seems to work well in the valley and Southern Ca where we visit often

Yes. They're good for a cheap pre-paid system. You need a T-Mobile compatible phone (or unlocked)
