one more hour a day is huge for good teachers and for bad teachers it's nothing more than a nap time. Luckily, most teachers are good/great. So, they will use that time wisely. Even though it's not a requirement this year to manage a face to face classroom and an online classroom, many teachers are doing both to help those kids who are sick or have parents who fear Covid. These teachers are trying to fill those gaps and are willing to be on call 24/7. Bad teachers will put up a crossword puzzle and tell the kids to do it (either face to face or online). I wish I had the power to fire these bad ones but, unfortunately, I don't, especially after three years of teaching.
