She chose her profession leaving a well paying media news job for a desire to serve and teach gifted children in primary school. Money was never the most important aspect... just like our military and public safety servants.

She has made a huge impact in her students lives. It has been very rewarding to her but the external pressure from political hacks and pervasive disrespect from many in society (parents and their enablers) has dimmed her light.

Unfortunately I see this consistently with some on this board. I saddens me that we push many capable teachers out and then complain about the results we played a part in creating.
