Tesla has had to spend a TON of time tweaking how the rear brake light turns on when regen kicks in.
In the past, the break light would turn on too early and cause people behind to slam on their breaks (causing crashes). Or it wouldn't turn the break light on soon enough (also.. crashes).
IMHO though... Most Tesla crashes are due to idots doing idiotic things. (if you look at the numbers it's the faster/performance/plaid Teslas that crash the most).
