Crazy things you do to save money?
Ok, maybe crazy is not the right word, but I want you guys to list some things that you do to save money, or at least keep from spending money on stuff you don't need (but might want). Here's mine:

Most all home/car repairs are either done by me, or under the supervision of a family/friend who knows what they are doing. Has resulted in some strained friendships :/
Every car we have ever owned we purchased with cash. Most expensive one was $4500. Most have been in the $2500-$3500 range.
We don't have cable, use OTA, Netflix, TV over IP
We get the cheapest internet we can
We have a low clothing budget ($300 a year per person, includes shoes)
All of our furniture is used. Most of them are gifts.
We make our own laundry detergent and dishwasher soap (actually works very well)
We wear just about all of our clothes to rags, then save them as 'work clothes'
I purposely wear ugly shoes just to wear them out so that I can justify throwing them away.
I have a desk chair that is on its third lower unit (piston) - cannibalized from other chairs
My desktop computer is 8 years old (upgraded most every component that I can justify). Laptops are both 5+ years old
I am delaying possible knee surgery from a knee injury until we have our next kid so that we can take better advantage of our health insurance.
I cut my own hair (wife gets the back so I don't have a mullet)

Lets here your frugal confessions Cougarboard!
