This is why it's the most UN-show-offish sport. Most runners are just joggers
out trying to get some exercise while enjoying the fresh air.
When you think "show-off sports jocks" from high school, did you think runners back then?
I don't understand the backlash against running. Do I feel threatened by the fact that other guys can bench press more than me? No, so why so much backlash against those who can run farther than you can, because I think this is jealousy driving this.
BTW, this comes from me, the ultimate RECREATIONAL runner. Despite running being in my boardname, I'll readily admit I'm not that great of a runner with nothing to brag about. I just enjoy it, that's all.
