main ingredient for experience is... time. Lot's of time... something that Nick Howell doesn't possess as an FBS coach. Experience is huge when it comes to the knowledge of a craft. Academic knowledge is always preparatory to the real knowledge that comes with time. The ins and outs of the daily grind. The "street" knowledge of the craft. The associations and experiences with other people. None of those things can be manufactured through research and hard work.

Most likely there are those out there who are gifted enough that they can get more out of less experience than others... a genius of the game if you will... Nick Howell does not look to me to be one of those people.
