Saw an interesting stat today. Only two coaches in college football have won at least 9 games in the last six seasons: Nick Saban and Bo Pelini. Pelini will win 9 games again this year, but he'll most likely get fired also. Nebraska fans expect more.
Pelini is a pretty good head coach, and he did a lot to bring Nebraska back from the really rough patch they'd had under Bill Callahan. But he doesn't win enough big games, hasn't been able to put together a special season, has poor PR skills, and is terrible at interacting with fans. He may win 9 games for the seventh season in a row, but he's gone.
