It's been below average defense and ST's play. They're playing a lot of young guys on those units ... aka Leach's recruits. He had to dismiss a bunch of players when he arrived to get rid of some bad apples. It'll take another year or 2 to get his guys in place with experience. With a couple of breaks this year, they would have beaten both Rutgers (3pt loss) and Cal (1pt loss). That would put them at 5-6 with a chance at a bowl game by beating Washington tomorrow.
