may be even worse for us than we thought. The latest research is linking sugar intake more closely to high blood pressure than salt and we've been down on salt for a long time.
All this is making me consider doing something extreme/drastic. I'm considering cutting out all processed sugar starting January 1st with the goal of keeping it up all through January and hopefully kicking off a healthier lifestyle.
This is a huge deal for me because, although I exercise almost pathologically, I have a TERRIBLE diet. Typical day for me might include a high sugar protein drink for breakfast, skipping lunch, grabbing a candy bar and a Rockstar on my way to the Gym as I leave work then a sensible dinner with cookies and milk before bed. As I said, my diet is embarrassing.
Would anyone be interested in joining me in trying to cut out sugar in January? I could use the support.
