... BYU was even able to build the MC at all. They rec'd a tremendous deal on the seats, and that's no small thing when ordering in that quantity. Back in the 70s-80s, BYU was operating on a shoestring compared to now. Frugality was a necessity and that frugality is a big part of the reason BYU became and stayed competitive in a sports world where the odds were certainly against them.
