maintain the standard they've taken on? With how the world is these days, I'd venture that it's much easier to be a mindless cyborg assimilating into the collective by breaking the commandments than keeping them. All around us the world is screaming for less honesty, less integrity, less virtue. It takes an individual with a strong, independent mind and will to stem that tide and accept to live a higher set of standards.
BYU isn't a bunch of cyborgs. It's a bunch of individuals who have chosen to live by a higher standard and staked their names and college enrollments on it. The rebel of the 50s is now the norm, and the norm of the 50s is now the rebel. Tell your daughter to be a 50s rebel.
