Right as the last word left my mouth there was a person running right beside me, which was surprising because it was dark outside and I had never seen anybody run this route before. He thought I was talking to him so he took a headphone out and said "what was that?"

"Uh, haha, sorry. I was just talking to myself." Luckily he was much faster than I was so we only ran together for about three seconds. It was awkward.
