Winder was never as quick and explosive as BYU fans want to believe
I think his next best offer was Portland. He turned out to be really solid this year when he learned not to force things. He had periods throughout his career where he was a very good defender when not injured. But I wouldn't use Winder as your athletic prototype. Frank Bartley on the other hand... yeah, I would like to have Steven Beo's basketball IQ and confidence in Bartley's body. But if that combo existed, he would be at UCLA or Kentucky.
