Go to Agate beach and collect agates. It takes some effort, but you can find
some nice agates there.
Go to the aquarium in Newport. Sea Lion caves in Florence.
Our family tradition is going to Mo's for chowder.
I've never done it out of Newport, but I bet you can do deep sea fishing out of Newport. Your 17-year-old son will consider this the absolute highlight of his summer. (I'm used to going out of Westport in WA, but I'm assuming it will be a similar experience in Newport.)
For the girls - there is lots of shopping in Lincoln City.
Go to the Tillamook Factory on a tour.
Lots to do along the Oregon coast.
