That's a good one too, but (being devil's advocate)
no one will die if they don't have funeral expenses covered. A funeral WILL happen, regardless. Funeral expenses are draining, esp for a family but also are draining in the $2000-$10000 range. not the $100K range.*

But they do tug at my heart strings as well, but its mostly because they just suffered a loss... not because I think having a nice funeral makes it easier.



*I am also not sentimental/reverential about the body after death, and think the funeral industry is a rip off. The undertaker who handled my grandmother sent her ashes to Florida for internment 1 week before she was cremated, according to their records. we have no idea whose ashes are in her gravesite. My mother was so furious, she was very clear that we were not to go to any expense for her own funeral except the very necessary.
