I got it wrong, actually. I'll edit the post above. The two "12" win seasons
were 1996 and 1980. 2001 was an "11" win season.
That said, if you count 1983 as phenomenal, you also have to count 3 of Bronco's seasons as phenomenal (2006, 2007, 2009).

They went 11-1 in 1983; that should adjust to 12 wins with your approach
